I use after each post originates from.)

All in the Family Altered Notebooks

These were a lot of FUN to make! FUN from the whimsical stamp sets to the bright, cheerful color combination. I've used two In Colors - Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango. The family is colored using a Blender Pen and ink pads. You cannot see it in this picture, but the background on each notebook is tone-on-tone stamping of "Happy Together" and "Love You Much" from the Family Phrases stamp set. There are three more - two that match Dad and one that matches Mom. The little one in the picture is for the family's dog, Ginger. These are composition notebooks, altered with card stock, stamps, ink and embellishments. They are a gift for Worldwide Marriage Encounter friends of ours for Family Dialogue time.

Stamps: All in the Family, Family Phrases; Retired SU!: Quirky Alphabet Upper and Rough Edges Mini Alphabet
Card Stock: Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Summer Sun & Whisper White
Ink: Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Summer Sun, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Pacific Point & Tangerine Tango 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop, 1 1/4", 1 3/8", 1" & 1/2" Circle Punches, Curly Label Punch, Mini Glue Dots

Fifth Avenue Floral

This *IS* my favorite NEW stamp set in the Spring/Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog! Fifth Avenue Floral is a line image set - with three flower images in a nice range of different sizes, a stem and the sentiment you see here. These images are awesome as stand alone - as used in this design... and oohhh, my Copics are longing to show what they can do for depth coloring of these beautiful flowers! I've also had great fun using the Top Note Die, and SU! exclusive that can be used in the Big Shot, as well as other machines like the Cuttlebug. This was our second project at Judi' M.'s SAB workshop last Friday. We discussed the Cuttlebug & Big Shot a little bit. Basically, if I didn't already have the Cuttlebug, I would have gotten the Big Shot! I rally like the Cuttlebug - but it is limited in the width of Sizzix dies (including SU! exclusives) that can be used with it.. If you're considering one of these machines - I do recommend the Big Shot. Can you see the Certainly Celery Twill ribbon along the left side? SAB FREEBIE!

And Hey! With Sale-a-Bration and Host benefits -
now's the time to order your Big Shot with me!
:)

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Top Note Bigz Die, Certainly Celery Twill Ribbon (SAB Exclusive!), Vintage Brads & Dimensionals. ENJOY!

Hostess Sale-a-Bration in Black & White

This was one of the designs we did at Judi M.'s SAB workshop (which we did as part of Stampin' Chat last Friday). It showcases a current Level 2 Host Set, an Exclusive FREE SAB set and the NEW Whisper White Organza Ribbon. (This ribbon is so luscious! Touching is believing!) This design is also a reminder of the classic and simple elegance of black & white. So pull out your Embossing Powders - gold and silver with black and white is stunning too! This SAB "Congrats" Stamp Set is awesome - there are so many choices for the inside verse - you can make a bunch of these cards ahead, then fill in the inside as the occasion necessitates.
Stamps: Echoes of Kindness(S/S 2009 Host Set), Congrats(SAB 2009 Set)
Card Stock: Whisper White & Basic Black
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Whisper White Organza Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Ticket Corner Punch & Dimensionals. ENJOY!

A Peanuts St. Valentine's Day

Phew! It's been crazy - but I'm back with a few things to share over the next couple of days - Wahoo! These were the St. Valentine's Day cards I made for my kidlets. We all adore Charlie Brown & the Peanuts Gang in our home - so when I saw this cute Snoopy Be My Valentine stamp over at CreativePlayStamps, I had to get it. The kidlets will enjoy using it all year long! I also dug out my poor, neglected Copic Markers just to get them in my hands again even though this was just your average, basic coloring. These Copics write so smoothly, even basic coloring is more fun! :) I also used the NEW SU! punch called Eyelet Border. All colored card stock is SU!. White card stock is Paper Trey Ink.

What did you do to celebrate St. Valentine's Day? Steve &I actually went out Thursday evening while the kids were out at the Lipizanner Stallion show. So on Saturday - we watched Charlie Brown Valentine and made homemade heart-shaped pizza (thos epics will hopefully be on our family/homeschool blog soon! ENJOY!
