Chat & Challenge 153

I hosted a Chat & Challenge over at Sudsol (demo only site) yesterday. Of course, I haven't been able to host AND stamp for quite awhile - I'm too chatty! lol (Maybe this should be one of my paper-crafting resolutions for 2010? heehee) I got the sketch from one of my favorite blogs to get sketches from - Taylored Expressions. This one was her TECC49 - Fun!

The idea to make Scallop Edge Punch medallions with Scallop Square Punches sprouted fairly quickly, but it took awhile longer for the rest of the "picture" to develop. I also knew I wanted to use some DSP (designer series paper) and the Dreams du Jour Stamp Set. And of course - GLITTER! :)

Here's a couple of close-ups to show the pretty Iridescent Ice Glitter (adhered with Two Way Glue.) The butterfly image was inked in Pirouette Pink, then outlined directly on the stamp with the Basic Black Stampin' Write. The sharp points on the Paper Snips are perfect for the precision cutting needed for this delicate butterfly image. The 'Love You' floral image is water-colored with the Blender Pen and Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss ink pads. The flower is Pirouette Pink with Riding Hood Red shading in the middle that is also glittered.

This close-up shows the Love You Much three heart image stamped tone-on-tone in Pirouette Pink, glittered, then punched with the Heart to Heart Punch. All the medallions have a Scallop Square Punch of the beautiful Bella Rose DSP.

Stamps: Dreams du Jour, Love You Much
Card Stock: Basic Black, Riding Hood Red, Pirouette Pink , Whisper White, Bella Rose DSP
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Stampin' Write in Basic Black
Accessories: Scallop Edge, Heart to Heart & Scallop Square Punches, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Iridescent Ice Glitter, Two Way Glue Pen, Paper Snips, Mini Glue Dots.
ENJOY!
